Skidmore-Boston invites alumni to participate in an incredible networking opportunity on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6:45 - 9:00 p.m. in downtown Boston.

7:00 - 7:30 p.m. Hear a Campus update from Mike Sposili, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs & College Events, Adam Wald ’94 will briefly discuss effective networking strategies, and Rochelle Calhoun, Dean of Students and Vice President for Student Affairs will introduce the new Director of the Career Development Office, Kim Crabbe who will provide an overview of the ways that students and alumni can receive support in their career transitions.

7:00 - 7:30 p.m. - Hear a brief College update from Carissa Miles, Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs & College Events.  Mike SanClemente ’90 will discuss branding yourself. Louise Mallette '74, Alumni Association Board Chair of Career & Professional Development will introduce the new Director of the CDC, Kim Crabbe, who will provide an overview of lifetime support for alumni career transitions.

7:30-9:00 p.m. - Connect with alumni & parents of Skidmore College representing various career paths, companies, and jobs.

Participants in this event will have the opportunity to meet alumni volunteers with experience in a wide range of fields to receive guidance with career transitions and the search for work. Alumni, parents, and friends of Skidmore will staff tables where they will be available for individual questions about career paths, graduate school, and tips on how to approach career transitions.

Whether you are transitioning to a new career or you are just starting out, this is a tremendous opportunity to make contacts with working professionals and fellow alumni. Feel free to bring a resume to have it reviewed by Skidmore staff and learn how Career Development can help alumni at every stage of their career.

Alumni of all ages are encouraged to attend. Additionally, a select number of Skidmore students have been invited to participate in this event in an effort to help them prepare for the transition from student to working professional.
