What an outstanding group of classmates we have! And we proved it during our truly amazing 30th reunion in May. A giant thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it such a success. You’re simply the best!
If you haven’t been to our Facebook page to catch up with everyone, please do. And check out this special video the always fabulous Bill Ladd created: http://animoto.com/play/bV3txYjuyjhOWW0ZbVxnXQ
And, Damon Bates took some fantastic photos of the weekend you can see here: http://www.damonbatesphotography.com/People/Skidmore-Class-of-1983-30th/29833017_d3CcNZ#!i=2558017760&k=BQQH3Pk
Besides coming to Skidmore for reunions, or getting up to campus for a visit, there are lots of ways to stay connected to each other and to your college experience. Think about these ideas:
1) Write a note to a favorite professor (Sheldon was classic during his reunion weekend “class” which many of us attended.)
2) Call a Skidmore roommate if you missed seeing them at reunion or friend them on FB.
3) Log onto the Skidmore website, look at the Events calendar and see what's happening in your area (regional club event), academic major, favorite club or athletic program.
5) Make a gift to celebrate those connections.
What Skidmore alumni do and who they are in their communities and in the wider world makes Skidmore what it is just as much as the achievements of current students and faculty. We certainly learned that when special honors were given to fellow classmates at the Alumni Awards Ceremony.
Thank you so much for your past support and for any gift you can make now. Enjoy the fall and the upcoming holiday season, as we think about all there is to be grateful for, like our Skidmore family.
