 Dear Classmates,
I hope this letter finds you all well. Spring is just around the corner and I wanted to reminisce with you about Skidmore. Just as it was when we were there, the Green is just poking out from under the snow cover. Students are hustling and bustling from Case to classroom, as the academic year is in full swing. A few brave students seize the small increase in temperature to break out shorts and sundresses. Finally, the sunsets of longer days are reflecting off the windows of Scribner Library. It is safe to say that spring at Skidmore is my favorite season (along with winter, fall, and summer).
While we may not be on campus, Skidmore continues to be a resource for us. In order to provide greater support to recent graduates and alumni in their career development and transitions, the Career Development Center has brought on Jenna Hartwell as the new Associate Director of Alumni Career Development. Jenna provides individual career counseling to Skidmore graduates and works with alumni to create networking connections for current students and alums. She seems like a great resource, alumni interested in working with Jenna may contact her by calling the Career Development Center at (518) 580-5790.
I also wanted to ask you to please consider making a gift to Skidmore in honor of whatever experience you loved most during your time as a student. Whether it was the professors, the classroom experience, athletics, or your extracurricular activities, make a contribution to help the students of today. Forty-Five percent of the students on campus rely on financial aid for their Skidmore experience, and every contribution helps to make their Skidmore experience the best it can be.
