Dear Classmates,

Spring Semester is underway at Skidmore, and the Class of 2013 is in the final stretch of their Skidmore experience.  Do you remember being on the cusp of life after Skidmore?  Do you recall that sense of closing one chapter and beginning something new?  It’s interesting to think that we spend most of our lives as alumni of Skidmore and only four years as students.  What keeps us connected?  As much as the special moments at Skidmore stand out in my mind, what anchors me to those years and continues to connect me to Skidmore is people—it’s you, our class, our friends, and all the people who made our time at Skidmore interesting, challenging, and inspiring.

We have an opportunity to re-connect with one another and the College this spring for our 15^th Reunion.  Mark your calendars for May 30-June 2, 2013, and plan to attend!  As a class, we also have an opportunity to help the people who matter at Skidmore, particularly students.  Our Reunion gift will be the Class of 1998 Scholarship. We are trying to raise (and hope to exceed) $15,000 to help a student who needs financial aid in order to complete his or her Skidmore education.

Our gifts truly matter and have an immediate impact on the individual people who keep the College moving forward.  In fact, over 40 percent of students require scholarships in order to attend, and our class gift offers each of us an opportunity to help a student, give back to our alma mater, and commemorate the Skidmore we so fondly recall.  Please join me in contributing to the scholarship in honor of our 15^th Reunion.  Remember, every gift—no matter the size—counts!
