Dear Classmates,
It's hard to believe we've experienced hurricanes, floods and a Halloween Nor'Easter since our sun drenched reunion weekend in June. Let me take but a minute to thank all who attended for the warmth, energy, giggles and love we shared all weekend long. Thanks also to the spouses and friends who accompanied you, and who looked somewhat bewildered, though happy, to witness the amazing moments as we honored our long journeys.
Thanks to our organizing committee, our Reunion Chairs, Judy and Phyllis, our fund raisers, Joan, Linda and Jacki, who helped us achieve our "over the top" results! Much appreciation also goes to Judy and Pam, our Class Co-Presidents, for their many years of service! Didn't Gig do a splendid job for SCOPE so that those who couldn't attend could share a bit of the experience vicariously?!
I feel this awesome responsibility as your newest Class President so must share my first outrageous act! Richard Russo in his novel, Old Cape Magic, speaks of a student who "pledged a sorority at Skidmore College." Unhinged, I quickly e-mailed him to question his research and register the horror Lucy S.S. might have experienced at just the thought!!!!! Hope I continue to serve you well.
Had the pleasure of having dinner with Joan Behr in Philadelphia and
Suzanne Prior in Savannah on my half marathon trips. I will be in Myrtle
Beach in February and Louisville in April for their half marathons!
Would love to see anyone! I send you best wishes for a healthy and
joyous holiday season. Be well and please remember to answer those
requests from the Annual Fund!
Love and hugs,
Zelda Jacobson Schwartz
Class President

Brenda Darcy submitted this photo of a get-together in Maine. The classmates are pictured on the Bowdoin campus after taking in an Edward Hopper exhibit. From left, Mary Pierce Riney, Brenda Giombetti Darcey, Kirsten Holst Whitsett, and Anna Jalar Jeanneau. "We had a wonderful time together shopping, seeing exhibits, going to the Maine Botanical garden & eating lots of Maine lobster. Old friends are the best!!!"
