The Official Skidmore College Reunion 2013 Video

January 2013

Dear Classmates,

I have recently taken part in a telephone conference call with some of our classmates and members of the Alumni office. The purpose was to begin planning our upcoming 55th Reunion, (May 30 – June 2). The participants were Anne Mintener Heegaard (Reunion Co-Chair ), Beverly Beatson Grossman ( FOP Chair), and a few minutes of Suzanne Hecht Goldstein (Fund Chair), who was coughing too much to stay on line with us. Fortunately, she has now recovered from a bad cold.

So very much has changed, not only since we graduated, but since our last reunion and I'm not referring to our reflections in the mirror! I'm talking about what an exciting and vibrant the campus has become and all that Skidmore now offers to its student body. Just think about it – the entering class of 2016, 635 students from 32 states and 33 countries will be the most diverse in the college's history. They will be able to choose from about 35 academic departments and programs, 2 pre-professional programs in engineering or health/allied health, and graduate studies in liberal studies, business administration and secondary education, not to mention umpteen undergraduate studies (non-degree) and summer programs. There is also collaborative research being done between students and faculty resulting in Skidmore being awarded numerous honors and prizes. Quite a bit more going on than when we entered in 1954! You can learn more when you tour the various facilities and attend talks given during the Reunion weekend.

Our attendance goal will be for at least 45 of us and we hope that this notice is enough lead time for you to plan to be in Saratoga for a wonderful get together.
