STILL RAISING CANE!

Dear Classmates,
Hopefully you have recently received the colorful and informative Skidmore Reunion booklet and registration material! The dates of May 31-June 3 are rapidly  approaching and we do so encourage you to make plans to attend our 60th reunion. If you are concerned about traveling alone - how about inviting a daughter or other "kin" to accompany you and room with you, -- a family time together, also! For those of you who plan to attend please get your reservation in soon. Our class will be staying in Weicking Hall which is handicapped accessible, air conditioned, and has a large central social gathering place. M.F. Hatfield will be our hostess and will have niblets and beverages for us as we reconnect.
Our "dress" for the parade on Saturday morning will be white pants and yellow tops. We will have for you your 'cane' and a flower head piece to let all the younger ones know that the Class of '52 is STILL RAISING CANE!!
Did you notice that our class only pays the registration fee? We are guests of Skidmore for all of our meals and lodging. Be sure to RSVP on your registration form to the special invitation for cocktails and dinner with President and Mrs. Glotzbach on Thursday.
We also want to mention the availability of golf carts throughout the weekend. We will have wonderful Reunion student assistants willing to drive us wherever we need or want to go anytime we need a ride.
For those of you who are unable to attend we urge you to send us a note and/or picture to post on our class bulletin board in our own 'social center' so that we can think of you 'reuning' with us.
We just received notice that 50% of our class has financially given to Skidmore this past year. We so hope that we can increase this number to 75% because showing alumnae support is important in so many ways. Thank you to Jean Adams Shaw, Dorothy Bernstein Modlin, Jackie Pinover Mulrow, and Nancy Colway Cammann and our class agents for spearheading us to our class goal of $70,000. The deadline for this year's goal is May 31st - We are now at $64,645 and with your help we'll make it!!!!
