Dear Classmates,

I hope you are, like me, observing early signs of spring after what for many of us seemed like an endless winter!  Along with many other things that come with spring, this year the Class of 1941 will celebrate our 70th Reunion on June 2-5 in Saratoga Springs!  Imagine!  Who could believe it?  Mary Phillips Murray and I plan to attend and wish many of our classmates will also be able to attend.

Reunion activities include the Scribner Society dinner with President Glotzbach and Marie Glotzbach on Thursday night; Friday dinner at the Murray-Aikins Dining Hall; the Alumni Awards Ceremony on Saturday morning; the picnic luncheon on Saturday afternoon; dinner at the Surrey Williamson Inn on Saturday night joining the Classes of 1951 and 1946; and the Alumni Memorial Service at the Alumni Memorial Garden behind the Surrey Williamson Inn on Sunday.  Official registration materials will be mailed later this month, and then you can find a list of attendees by visiting www.skidmore.edu/reunion or by calling the College at 800-584-0115.  We have enclosed a Class of 1941 Directory, so we will be able to keep in touch.

Also, thanks to all for your participation in the 2010-11 Annual Fund.  You may have heard that Skidmore is offering The $1 Million Momentum Challenge.  A group of generous alumni, parents, and friends have collectively committed a $1 million gift to the College if 12,500 donors give before May 31, 2011.  Please be one of those 12,500.  Please join me in representing the Class of ’41 in our reunion year.  We will announce our fundraising results during a ceremony Reunion Weekend.

Best to all,

Ruth
