Meet Our Senior Gift Scholarship Recipient!
 |
Last year, The Senior Gift Committee reached out to each of you asking that you donate, in whatever capacity you could, to the Class of 2012 Senior Gift Scholarship, given to one student each year. More than 400 members of our class gave and we raised over $5,000. The Senior Gift Committee is very pleased to announce that Evelyn Canela, Class of 2013, is the recipient of the Class of 2012 Senior Gift Scholarship. Thank you to all of you who participated and a greater thank you to those who volunteered for this incredible cause! Click here to learn more about our scholarship student!

The Career Development Center (CDC)
The Career Development Center (CDC) is excited to welcome Jenna Hartwell, the new Associate Director for Alumni Career Development. She is responsible for developing and strengthening the relationship between the CDC and Skidmore graduates and will provide direct support to the career development needs of both current students and alumni. She will be working with the College’s alumni, Alumni Association Board of Directors, chairs and members of regional alumni groups, and many others to provide the support that they need after graduation. While this position is new to Skidmore's Career Development Center, Jenna comes to us from Wheelock College in Boston where she was the Coordinator of Student and Alumni Career Development. She has a Master of Education: Counselor Education (Student Development & College Counseling Concentration) from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, N.C., and a B.S. in Social Science from Cazenovia College.
All career counseling services are available to alumni, for life, for free. To set up an appointment or register for My CDC Account (job/internship posting board), please call (518) 580-5790 or click here.
Regional Events
Attending a regional event is an excellent way to build and grow social and professional networks, remain informed about news from campus, and display pride in your alma mater. From sporting events to faculty lectures, cocktail parties to museum tours, Skidmore strives to offer a little something for everyone.
Looking for events in your area? Traveling and hope to meet up with Skidmore Alumni? Click here for an up to date list of regional events. If you have questions about an event or activity in your area, please call the Office of Alumni Affairs & College Events at (518) 580-5610, send their office an e-mail, or visit us on the Web.
Offer Your Time and Talents!
Skidmore volunteers work with members of their classes, fellow alumni, and prospective students while helping to shape the College's future. There are a number of areas for volunteer involvement such as class officers, fundraisers, regional event planning committee members and admissions volunteers.
The Class of 2012 is in need of a class secretary to assemble a class note column for Skidmore Scope magazine three times a year. For more information, contact Mary Monigan, Class Notes Editor by e-mail or by phone at 1-800-584-0115. Everybody loves reading about classmates in Scope. Be the first to spread the word by volunteering as class scribe!
If you are interested in volunteering for our class, please email
Ciara Austin ’08 in the Annual Fund or Jessica Giles in the Office of Alumni Affairs.
